Thermal Energy Ventures Ltd was formed in October 2003 to purchase IMI Air Conditioning Ltd via a management buy-in buy-out from IMI PLC.  Immediately after the acquisition IMI Air Conditioning was re-named Marstair Ltd and Thermal Energy Ventures Ltd became the holding company.

In early 2004 the Heatking Ltd was added to the group this being a company specialising in the design and manufacture of heat pumps for heating residential properties.

In December 2004 the TEV group acquired the Quartz fan coil business from Vent Axia and in January 2005 the operations were transferred from Dudley to Marstair’s Brighouse manufacturing facility.

From the 1st January 2007 the group was restructured by creating three divisions each dedicated to a specific product and market sector.  This involved changing the name of Marstair Ltd to TEV Ltd.  The new structure of the group is shown below:-

With over 40 per cent of its production going to export markets, TEV has a strong reputation both internationally and within the UK for providing high quality, innovative products and delivering excellent customer service and technical support.

TEV’s pedigree goes back to 1971 and for more than 30 years it has occupied the present site at Brighouse in West Yorkshire. Today this factory employs 90 people and incorporates production space of 65,000 sq ft plus a further 20,000 sq ft of office space. The company also has one of the best development facilities in the country including a workshop and three purpose built test laboratories.

The innovative products in the TEV range are manufactured to comply with all the relevant industry standards and are universally recognised for their technical excellence, quality and efficiency. Products are CE marked and the company’s operations meet the ISO 9001:2000 world quality standard.
